If there are no water releases at this time, we suggest navigating upstream of the dam on the upper Verdon (in the Fontgaillarde gorges), a section of the river fed by melting snow in spring. These hydrospeed routes are located about 30 minutes from Castellane.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #1bb795;\">In summer (July and August)<\/span>, water releases on the middle Verdon are only scheduled on certain days (<span class=\"Style1\">On Tuesdays and Fridays usually<\/span>and allow navigation on this section. However, the upper Verdon routes are not navigable in summer due to insufficient natural flow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px; color: #1bb795;\">In autumn (from mid-September)<\/span>, the water release frequency is regular again and allows navigation on the middle Verdon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To know the water release forecasts for the
