The landscapes of the Verdon are among the most beautiful in Europe. Located in the south of France, the Verdon is a canyon carved out by the river of the same name. Lake Sainte-Croix is an artificial lake created by the construction of the dam of the same name, a name given because of the village that was submerged when the dam was built. The lake is located in the heart of the canyon and offers magnificent scenery. You can go swimming, boating, paddleboarding or kayaking on the lake.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Verdon Gorge<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Gorges du Verdon are the most beautiful gorges in Europe. They are situated between Castellane and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. The gorges are carved out by the Verdon river and offer breathtaking scenery. You can walk along the gorges, go canyoning or hiking.<\/span><\/p>\n

The gorges are close to the French Riviera. The French Riviera is a magnificent region with fine sandy beaches, turquoise waters and picturesque villages.
