Description
Discover the Fontgaillarde gorges by raft
Procedure
of the activity
Meet at 10.00 at the Adrech campsite, 6 km from St-André-les-Alpes and 30 mins from Castellane (See access map)
Welcome of participants by ABOARD Rafting guides, followed by a transfer to the starting point.
Equipment handover and briefing for a canoe-raft descent of the Haut-Verdon, from Pont Clos to Pont d'Allons (approx. 10 km and 2 hours of navigation).
The guides will show you the basic handling techniques for this craft.
The landscape is very wild in this high valley, the river is channelled for most of the descent into the Gorges de Fontgaillarde. Beautiful waterfalls cascade directly into the Verdon.
The river has a constant current, with rapids (class II, III)See the classification of rapids) continuously. Bouncing turns on the cliffs follow one another until the exit of the gorges.
The end of the journey is marked by the end of the gorge, where we find our vehicles.
