Relax, if you have never done rafting before you are just like some of our customers, we are here to guide and supervise you. The Rafting Verdon team allows you to live an unforgettable moment in this beautiful nature that the Verdon offers us, whether it is your first rafting trip or you are a seasoned adventurer. No prior experience is required. Every trip down living waters with Rafting Verdon has been designed to be comfortable and accessible to everyone. Our programme of Rafting in the Verdon for beginners is a half-day trip set in the Fontgaillarde gorges.
This water activity lasts around 3 and a half hours and is suitable for beginners wanting to get to grips with rafting. Finally, to be able to take part, you just need to know how to swim, and bring a swimming costume and sports shoes. The rafting trip is led by experienced, state-qualified guides. We also provide safety equipment that complies with European standards (a buoyancy aid, a helmet, a neoprene wetsuit, a windcheater). Return transport by bus to the starting point of the activities is provided by Rafting Verdon.
Can you go rafting as a family?
Of course! It is a great idea to bring your family together for a fun activity in the waterways of the Gorges du Verdon. In other words, it is about creating memorable family adventure holidays for both children and adults. Rafting Verdon offers you the perfect escape to navigate the white water of the Verdon. During this half-day, the discovery of the natural environment and the world of the river, as well as the excitement of rafting in white water, will provide the whole family with enjoyment and new knowledge. Our programme of Verdon rafting suitable for the whole family, matches the discovery trail. This rafting trip takes place from our «Adventure Forest» base to the Pinède beach.
The participants are welcomed by the Rafting Verdon guides, who also hand out the equipment and give the briefing for a rafting trip from Adventure Forest to the Pinède beach, covering a distance of about 8 km with a navigation time of 1 hour 30 minutes. The start of the descent into the canyon is very easy, allowing the whole family to gently get the hang of handling the raft, a specific inflatable boat. Afterwards, rapids of increasing difficulty appear, finishing at the Pinède beach, the arrival point of this descent. Going whitewater rafting as a group?
Rafting trips are even more fun when you invite friends to join you. It is a great way to share a new experience as a group. Water activities are very popular because they are so much fun. It frequently happens that the different crews spend a large part of the descent splashing each other and even trying to ram one another! To ensure your water activity runs smoothly, the crew must consist of a maximum of 8 participants, who will follow the guide's instructions to manoeuvre the inflatable boat. Group sports activities are an excellent way to get to know each other, build team spirit and also push your limits.

Our Adventure Forest leisure centre by Aboard Rafting is located near the village of Castellane on the road to the Gorges du Verdon. Meeting and equipment point for white-water activities (Rafting, Canoraft, Airboat, Aqua-hiking, Hydrospeed), ideally positioned on the banks of the Verdon, the Adventure Forest / Rafting Verdon base allows direct boarding of the Verdon thanks to its private access to the river.
