The landscape is very wild in this high valley, the river is confined for most of the descent into the gorges of Fontgaillarde. Beautiful waterfalls plunge directly into the Verdon.

The river has a constant current, with rapids (class II, III)See the classification of rapidscontinuously, but without marked rapids. Bouncing turns on the cliffs follow one another until the exit of the gorge.
